The 21 Praises of Tara is an exquisite rendering of an ancient practice of prayer and empowerment. The music is deeply meditative, evocative and rhythmic. Taken from a traditional Tibetan Buddhist sadhana, this is the music that accompanies the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara, a ritual offered by groups of women worldwide as a prayer of peace, protection, wisdom and capability. The text used to accompany the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara is an English rendering of a traditional Tibetan Buddhist sadhana written by Orgyen Dechen Chokjur Lingpa, The Great Tibetan Treasure Finder. The 21 Praises of Tara have profound meaning; the
commentaries give suggestions of meditations and reflections. The packet
includes other prayers and teachings that accompany the practice of the
Mandala Dance of the Goddess Tara.
