includes the music and words to Tara Tames the Eight Fears. How do you deal with the Fire of Anger? How do you handle the Snake of Jealousy? In this video children dance, sing and dialogue their way through a Tibetan Classic that dramatizes eight emotional challenges including the Demon of Doubt and the Ocean of Desire. Prema Dasara has been teaching this Dance Drama to children for sixteen years. Filmed during a one week residency with the staff and students of Mountain Road School at the Abode of the Message in New York State, the images are cuteness itself as children from the ages of 3-11 candidly talk about their feelings and learn the simple movements. We also hear from the parents and teachers who immediately noted the influence of the dance in their family interactions.
"Rejoice
in Happy Times Together and Together Bear Adversities" This simple pact of friendship, shared by the Nomads of Tibet, was the theme song for our successful pilgrimage.... In October and November of 1998, 50 dancers, musicians, and videographers from eleven countries of origin traveled to India and Nepal to offer the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara to the Tibetans in Exile. It was a heart-opening experience for everyone. The videos are composed from the footage of those momentous events, taken by three professional crews and edited by Anahata Iradah. These videos are prayer in motion. We
visited schools, monasteries, and nunneries. We shared with the Tibetan

This
DVD/video was recorded on Dakini Day as the culmination of our retreat
in October 2004 with the Nuns of Kopan. A two camera shoot captured the
entire offering to Tara with the nuns dancing in the Mandala and our Western
Pilgrims offering their support as Protectors. The video includes Lama
Lhundrup honoring the work, and the nuns playing the gaylings to lead
the procession of dancers into the Gonpa at the start and close of the
dance. This video shows the entire Tara dance offering from the beginning
of Refuge, through Bodhicitta the Mandala
Dance of Tara and Dedication. It will be very useful
for all Tara Dance teachers who wish to review the components of an offering
or receive inspiration about the transmission of the dance. The individual
Praises were all choreographed by Andrea Abinanti and have a particular
flavor of the sacred dance styles she has mastered.
