(Bio)

Prema, working within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and invoking her special connection to the great Mother Tara, opens the vision of interconnectedness and the power of wisdom and compassion.

Anahata, with her gifts as a musician and senior leader of the Dances of Universal Peace, draws participants into a complete experience of the Unity of Religious Ideals.

With their wealth of scholarship, lineage, experience and creativity, the partnership of Prema and Anahata is formidable.

They began working together in 1996, touring the world, supporting each other's specialties and creating new works. In October/November 1998, Prema and Anahata guided a Peace Delegation, a group of Tara Dancers, to India & Nepal at the invitation of H. H. the Dalai Lama. They went to support the Tibetans in exile, and to fulfill the wishes of one of Prema's teachers to bring the Tara Dance to the Tibetan people.

They continued this mission by bringing another international group of dancers to India and Nepal in Oct./Nov 2001. You can read about these pilgrimages on the Tara Dhatu site. They are committed to continue to teach the Tibetans and bring sacred dance to other parts of the globe.

If you are new to this work, start by exploring the Tara Dance. The Tara Dhatu site expands on the scope of their work with the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara, offering lots of information about the dance and the way it is being spread throughout the world.

Read about the different kinds of classes offered, and check their schedule to see if Prema and Anahata are going to be in your area. Tell your friends to catch them in their neighborhood. They travel in an RV ("Beloved Elephant") and can easily go a bit out of their way to connect. If you would like to organize something in your area….let them know (prema@traveling-light.net).

Be sure to visit the Dharma Emporium. It is an education in itself and one of the best and easiest ways to support Prema and Anahata's work. Among the many things you'll find in the bookstore is their latest release, a video entitled "Tara Tames the Eight Fears: Children Point the Way to Emotional Health."

Prema and Anahata are considered a profound bridge between the East and the West. They are committed to empower, uplift and inspire everyone to manifest their highest potential.
